MAG developer Zipper Interactive has released some statistics for the MAG open beta. According to the blog, the MAG beta client was downloaded "well over" a million times, with the vast majority (860,000) of those downloads coming from North America. However, the figures only show 619,000 out of the million players spent enough time playing to achieve at least one experience point. (To put things in perspective, the top player for MAG Beta 5 amassed almost 110,000 experience points.) Even so, Zipper claims that "over 225 years worth of battles" were fought throughout the course of the week and that the average play-time per person was 3.2 hours. MAG comes out exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on January 26th.
Heh. Is anyone planning on purchasing it?
