and change
DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 1.00
to
DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 0.00

Skip Startup Movies
Open the file "freelancer.ini" found in the "FreelancerEXE" directory with Notepad. A few lines down there should be a header that says [Startup]. Under that are the 3 lines that link to the developer logo movies that play before you get to the menu. Simply delete those 3 lines and the game will start up much faster!
