Enlight Software has released a playable demo (local US mirror ~ 260MB) for Bad Day L.A., allowing you to try out the imminent cartoony third-person action adventure. This demo contains an introduction cutscene and the biological terrorist attack mission on the Santa Monica Freeway. The 260MB download can also be found on 3DGamers, FileFront, FileShack, VGPro, WP.

Too bad the game is so late. The things it critiques have found their way into everyday life already. But let's see how McGee puts it.

Maybe I just suck at the game but its one of the worst games I've ever played, one second a guy with a shotgun tells me I get smilies for killing people who want to do me harm.

The next second some people are throwing bottles so I blow them away and get frownies, then I go to the fireman and he wont talk to me, I wait around there and about 20 people start to attack me, there not zombies I cant seem to cure them and what's worse every one I need to save is out of reach people on fire or injured are all in a place I cant get to it says I need directions and there like 10 feet in front of me.

Does any one know, is this game all linear like that? or will it open up like GTA? are cars steel-able and crash-able? if it does open up I'll consider trying the demo again and maybe even buy the full game if not I wasted 20 minutes of my life.

Yeah, a total miss. Language is 18+ while the gameplay is 9-

Not likely that I'll buy this game... but I too got frowns for killing people who were attacking me. Did not have a problem getting to the people I needed to rescue, just took some jumping or smashing fences. The tire iron seemed to get people blocking alleyways moving. There's potential for some funny moments but its rather dull.
