Neighbours from Hell 2 - On Vacation|
(hx) 11:05 AM CEST - Apr,10 2004
Neighbours from Hell 2 - On Vacation is a sequel to Neighbours from Hell, Bigben Interactive's reality TV show videogame which was released last year for the PC. The idea of Neighbours from Hell 2 is very similar to the first game, but in case you have not played the first game, here is some info. Neighbours from Hell is pretty similar to Spy Vs Spy classic, although it's not exactly the same game. You control Woody; the super trickster who loves to put one over on his bad tempered neighbour Joe. The game is basically a TV show and the idea is to push up the ratings by playing tricks and laying traps for grumpy neighbour causing hysterics for the audience and despair for your neighbour. Needless to say Joe is the kind of obnoxious, cruel, noisy, bad-smelling jackass that you only find on TV. Each episode is time limited and there are a certain number of tricks to be performed. Your score is measured in ratings, and you'll have to achieve a certain rating level to avoid being cancelled.
In Neighbours from Hell 2, as Woody you must once again try to raise the viewer ratings by annoying your neighbour, to be exact, your task is to make this holiday one your neighbour will never forget. But this time, there's a supporting cast of characters to upset and annoy including the neighbours mom, Olga (a huge woman with boobs bigger than melons), Olga's son, and dog Fifi. Unlike the first game, there is no time limit and you have three lives (or attempts) to make it around the scene, setting up the tricks and avoiding the neighbour and his Mom.
As I wrote in
review of Neighbours from Hell
, the same game with more episodes, level
editor, and some multiplayer support would be bomb with overall rating +90%.
Sadly, there are still no official patches of any sort and the developers even
don't plan to make one any time soon. Instead, they only improved the first game
and created some new levels. That's why I gave Neighbours from Hell 2 so low
score. That doesn't mean that Neighbours from Hell 2 is bad, of course - I
recommend this awesome game, but remember it's desperately short. You can finish
the game in just a few hours and there's no reason to play it again.
System requirements: Pentium-II 233 MHz, 128MB RAM, DirectX 8-compatible graphics card with 8 MB of video RAM. DirectX 8-compatible sound card, 4x CD-ROM drive, 310 MB free HDD space
snd: 3/5 - good, fairly repetitive music, a few voices
gfx: 3/5 -
cute, cartoony graphics, excellent animation, only one house with various rooms for whole game, fixed resolution 800x600
playability: 4/5 -
addictive as the original, slightly improved (more NPCs, harder puzzles), lots of fun, easy to use interface and controls, but only 14 episodes (~3-4 hours of gameplay), no multiplayer, no editor, no replayability

|Once again, gg has gone all wrong with this game. The plot is thick, and gameplay is just amazing. You control the character Joe that tries pulling wacky pranks on the others in the "show" to maintain ratings. The game is ends its parallel to Spy vs Spy on the look and feel of the game. The game takes a quick, sharp right down adult avenue from that point though. Can't figure out how to earn points and gain ratings oncew you've tracked down Bertha? Just pull out you long manhood and just go to town instead to see the ratings skyrocket. The game is full of masterbatory humor, hallarious satanic references, and glorious foreshadowing to the end where you take on the director and earn bonus points for the "money shot" across the cheek. Great game, just don't take offense to the beastiality nature of Joe when the last crew member is Muffins the dog. |

|The game looks good but it is very difficult to control those stuffs using the mouse.. The game looks fine till the point of using the mouse to gain something that is very difficult to get.|
