Bethesda Softworks has released a trailer for RAGE, a new video game under development at id Software and set to hit store shelves on September 13, 2011 in the US and September 16 in Europe.

Borderlands reinvented! Seems promising, but the models could use some tesselation. Hope it gets implemented in the final version.

rage on PC is opengl, so tess will be highly unlikely

really, i new back in the day ati cards supported tess on their cards with opengl, but was it across the board on all gpus including nvidia as well?

Edit: huh, what do u know, i just looked it up,

wait, then why the fuck are so many developers still using the bloated dx api for graphics

If you want me to spew all the reasons, I can but I'll spare you. Time and experience those are the 2 biggest reasons. GL requires both! Carmack is a big influence still at id, I'd expect GL from them at every corner really. I'm not nitpicking what it has or doesn't have. It's still early to judge the gfx but they look much improved since the last vids I seen.

I think this game will run really well here with no upgrades. I'll have to keep my eye on it. I still don't see myself getting much more after Duke comes out lol.

This new trailer is wrapped up from all the released footage already... and this giant zombie is soooo lame... but, nevermind.
This year looks promising. The Scrym is coming 11.11.11 Very Happy Rage, maybe Thief 4.... lol, awesome!

Well thanks for keeping up on the vintage/content of the footage but you see I haven't really followed each and every segment released. This is new to me and it looks great.
