A new 15-game benchmark shows the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT delivering stronger raw performance than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 at 1440p, even when both cards sell for about $950.
The test used a Ryzen 7 9800X3D system and ran modern titles with DLSS 4 and FSR 4.1 upscaling enabled, measuring average and 1% low frame rates.

but, why does 9070 costs that much money? nVidia is sought after for whatever reason, AMD is not, only gaming. If nvidia is evil for price gauging, isn't AMD even worse for simply following them and lying about it?! Besides, tomorrow there wil be a new tech supported by nVidia and not by AMD. Game optimized for nvidia not for AMD. Is it fair? No. Do I care? No, I buy nVidia, not my war.
9070 xt literally asks for X800 XT price, even higher.
imagine 6700 XT going for $950. Yes, 9070 XT at that price has the same effect on me. |
