Actress Hayden Panettiere, best known for her roles as Claire Bennet in Heroes and Juliette Barnes in Nashville, has died at the age of 36.

No cause of death has been released, and an investigation is ongoing.

Hayden Panettiere's death is under investigation, but there were “not any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances,” according to police.

Law enforcement confirms “an acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call” and "upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene."

According to a 911 call obtained by PEOPLE, officials spoke about an apparent “overdose” and “cardiac arrest” while treating Panettiere.

Panettiere died on Sunday in Greenville, South Carolina, and police said there were not "any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances".
