At the tender age of 16, Mary finds herself married to the King of France but the marriage last for just a couple of years before she is widowed. The French society wants Mary to remarry but marriage is the last thing that’s in her mind. As such, she decides to run away to her country of birth Scotland where she sought to reclaim her Royal place as the Queen. However, she finds out that the Queen of England, Elizabeth 1 holds dominion over Scotland also. Through various means such of which include establishing cordial relations, conspiracies, betrayal and rebellion, Mary tries by all means to wrestle power over Scotland from Elizabeth 1.

The Silence

The Silence is one of those movies that you must watch this December. The movie follows the life of Ally, a deaf teenager. Living in New Jersey’s countryside, Ally’s family and their neighbours experience a plague in which a colony of bats is attacked and killed by insects. However, the bats rise again and morph into one creature, Vesps. The Vesps destroy anything that lives and all humans in Ally’s community are under threat. Ally, however, uses her sixth sense to sense the Vesps from far away and she lives a life of cat and mouse with them.
