Sydney 2000 is the first product of an exclusive six-year agreement with International Sports Multimedia (ISM) to publish video games under license from the IOC (International Olympic Committee). The game includes three modes of play - Arcade, Olympic and Coaching. Arcade mode is a points-based game, with competitors taking part in the final of each of the selected events, while coaching takes you away from the direct action and into team management. Its pretty cool because though the game looks to be realistic simulation, everybody can enjoy easy-playing with lots of fun in this Arcade mode. Contrary of the arcade mode, Olympic mode enables the player to train a squad of athletes to Gold medal standard. You are in charge of 12 athletes and must progress through various competitions before eventually reaching Olympic qualification and competing through the heats to the finals of the various events. And finally the coaching mode steps you through the basics of each event before giving you unlimited practice time without interference from other competitors. There are some 20 different training events in the virtual gym that can improve an athlete’s physical efficiency such stamina, strength, skill and morality. Sydney 2000 includes twelve events - the 100m sprint, 110m hurdles, hammer throw, javelin, triple jump, high jump, 100m freestyle swimming, sprint cycling, skeet shooting, weight lifting, 10m platform diving and kayak K1 slalom, I think it must be enough for everybody who likes sport games. Well, Sydney 2000 looks to be well done game, with very authentic graphic. I really very liked to play Sydney 2000 unlike recently released Sergei Bubka Millennium game with very weird controls. Besides the game don't needs a super-PC, Sydney 2000 will run on everything from 320x200/16bit to 1280x1023/32bit, also software rendering mode is included , just everything what you need is any Pentium II 233MHz/65MB RAM.
