DS9: The Fallen (DS9) is 3rd-person action shooter powered by a heavily modified version of the Unreal Tournament engine, and the storyline is based on a story by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. (Deep Space 9 was originally built by the Cardassians, who called it Terok Nor until the Federation acquired the station and renamed it Deep Space 9. Situated at the mouth of the Bajoran wormhole, DS9 guards the gateway to the Gamma Quadrant, home of the dreaded Dominion). In the game you can play one of threee DS9 characters: Sisko, Worf, or Kira. They aren't just only different skins used to play through the same exact mission, but are fully realized characters which will offer a different version of the story and gameplay when you play them through. Each character also has his/her own unique weapon - a standard issue Phaser for Sisko, a modified Bajoran hand-pistol for Kira, and a Klingon Bat'leth for Worf. Graphically, DS9 looking very pretty, all the models animations are very impressive. The Collective evidently have made many improvements to the UT engine such a new camera controls, facial animations and control systems. Both sound and speech are very good, the ambient sound in the maps is nicely placed and making dramatic feel. Althought previous Star Trek game - Raven's Elite Force was really well done shooter that fully satisfied me, now after I have played DS9 am disapointed in many ways. The game offers nothing new to the many 3rd person action/adventure titles already flooding the market, though hardcore Star Trek fans will probably much more happy with this game than me :)
