Europe Racer
(hx) 06:16 PM EDT - May,18 2001

Europe Racer is an arcade racing game that allows you to have an experience with an illegal car race through many well-known European cities. And you have to prove that you really are one of the world's best. To make it more difficult, the police will be on your heels at every turn. But I bet you will prefer to pull them off from the road :) Europe Racer features several different game modes : Quick Race, Championship, Adventure, Dual Race, Time Trial, and Sudden Death, over 20 tracks through all of Europe (you can download another tracks from Internet), and over 25 different cars in 3 categories: sports cars, ATVs and touring cars. In addition the game includes eight unique characters to race with (each one represents a different nationality), police cars from over ten different countries, major European monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Red Square in Moscow, the Brandenburg Gate, the Colosseum in Rome, and tailbacks, busses, trams, taxis and pedestrians. The game is cool and easy to play in same way like Midtown Madness, though some graphics details (do you like to drive over pedestrians?) could be better done. If you like simple racing games, Europe Racer will probably catch you.

snd: 3/5 - Quite good (when you will drive in Moscow you will hear Russian!)
gfx: 3/5 - Good, five different camera views, cheap 3D effects
playability: 3/5 - Very good, over 20 tracks, 25 different cars, no multiplayer :(
genre: arcade racing
release: May 2001
developer: Davilex

Don't let the reviewers into your pocket, the words 'Good' and 'Very Good' are there because they get paid by those cheap bookmaking "game"-Companies .... This game is the biggest crap you can expect and every single blank CD you use for burning this shit onto is just a darn waste of money...

LOL Honestly we didn't get paid from any "Game" Company for reviews Gameguru is an independent website. I think playability 3 for this game is OK, I've seen worse racing games than this one. For some gamers can be this game more playable than for an example GP3, because it's very simple game (perfect for kids), that's why i wrote "very good playable" (doesn't require a special skills). BTW: If I want to recommend game to buy, it must be rated 5/5/5 and not 3/3/3 :P In other words, "Good & Very Good" doesn't mean "EXCELLENT".

I usually skip the whole review when I see hx rated a game like 3/5. But even a rated 5/5 game, I still do a little research on other game reviews or maybe a demo before making a purchase.

I can confirm, anyone in Box Network is biased or paid by gaming industry. If hx said about the game, that he likes it, he really meant it without any side aims. cube, Box network

Sorry, perhaps i was a little rude and anxious because of how the ratings are, I just couldn't stand that those games which look like they have been created with an old C64-like "adventure-creator" package gets above average ratings like that. Oh well, once again sorry.

It's ok. I know 8-bit game scene pretty well so ... :) The current gameguru rating system has been created long time ago, so sometime is hard to rate game with simple number 1-5. We will probably change this rating system in near future.
