Microsoft confirmed a long-running bug in Windows 11 Universal Print.

Printers that were set up on Windows 10 can stop working after the April 2026 update KB5083769 or later. Users see the error “Your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem. 0x80004005” and the Print button stays disabled.
