CD Projekt Red has published the full PC system requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, a free upgrade that launches on September 29. Minimum settings target 1080p at 30 FPS with a Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT, 12GB of RAM, a 60GB SSD, and Windows 11.

That's fine, I have 64Gigs and most have 32Gigs by now.
It has to run on Windows 10 though!

When you look at that and say, ‘best isn’t always better’. In other words, the original will probably look better (it already did) at maxed out with your system today, than being able to play it at minimum or medium with the remaster

That is very true!
I guess one can always download the previous version - assuming GOG provides it.
They don't normally force people to upgrade, so there's a chance.
