OpenAI researcher Noam Brown said he is not convinced air-gapping would stop a determined advanced model.
In a mid-September 2026 interview he pointed to academic studies where two nearby isolated PCs still talk: one runs its CPU hot, the other reads the temperature change like Morse code.
