Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms has signed a 20-year, $9.1 billion data center lease with Anthropic for 191 megawatts of capacity at its Rockdale, Texas campus. The deal is expected to generate roughly $455 million in annual revenue with projected margins of 80–90%, far higher than Riot’s Bitcoin mining margins.
