Who really cares about performance if the game isn’t ticking boxes?
I’m playing No Man’s Sky -for half price- and I’m having a ball. On top of that stick X4 and all your boxes are ticked for real time taking off and landing on planets or running your own empire in space. Starfeld too late out the box -literally. |

No Man Sky was terrible, i hear they have massively patched it alot, but after my experience with the dullsville of its official release, i don't have the desire to go back to it and the X series of games were fun for 5 minutes, my experience with the X series was X2 - The Threat, where it FORCES you to trade, instead of being able to choose your career path, you HAVE to trade to get the resources to buy the combat ship to actually do combat.
I am a combat type of player, running an empire is so..meh, if i wanted to run an empire, i would play Master of Orion 2.
Ultimately, each to their own and when it comes to Starfield, the performance or lack there of i think is due to lack of optimization, the same thing happened with Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor, both had issues, the console versions could atleast run in quality or performance mode, but Starfield, apparently doesn't have the option. |
