hardware, while tempting, isn't a priority for many.

| It's not that people don't have the money - we still have work and get paid - it's that if you are smart, you are saving it. |

genuine question - what is money going to help me when entire econimies will collapse and we'll get hyperinflation in the EU? I don't think a 2k, or even a 3k setup would really make any difference.
If everyone around you is fucked, money really won't change anything about the fact that you'll be fucked too. |

True, but would you rather spend you savings on stupid CPUs and GPU than a slice of bread for your kids?
I think the AMD CPUs coming out are fantastic and they'd beat Intel CPUs consistently in every test (if we had proper CPU tests, that is, and not these schtoopid GPU only tests) - but the market situation is not good right now (too much uncertainty -> people saving money on basic stuff).
Lend me the motherboard and the CPU and I'll provide all the tests you need to prove that AMD is superior in every sense right now, |

Totally missing the point.
It's not just the economy, it's households who might not have electricity through winter https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63155827 and our bills have gone through the roof for electricity.
For eg, a single person with a monthly bill of £90 last year, now pays £150 per month for the same *amount* of electricity! It's increased per household to £2,500 per year over and above las year -for the same amount used.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-58090533
Bread, margarine, milk cereals have all gone double the price. It's honestly better living in 60's-70s when everyone lived in the same boat and power cuts were normal and you had coal fires to cook on and get heat and light. This is just ridiculous in 2022 and we're PAYING for the privilege of increased bills and no lighting or heating |

I mean, that all sounds about right. No B motherboards no 7600 sales. You have to be a very particular type of person to get a $350 motherboard for a $300 CPU...and add @250 on something worth from moving on from ddr4 to ddr5. With all this, you spend more money than to upgrade to 5800X3D and have it better in almost every way while spending far less.
People that bought into cheaper AMD CPUs such as 1600/3600 will (most of them) stay with those for years to come. They probably had FX8300 series before that upgrade... |
