Well everything has to be PC now. No longer will I play “male or female” it’s you *will* play a female or LGBT or BLT. Not my idea of fun personally. I don’t mind certain games - Tomb raider, Senhua as examples. But I want my own choice. Even Assassins Creed Valhalla let’s you switch anytime between sexes. When I first played that I thought I had gone crazy, when after playing the boy escaping I had grown into a woman! Misunderstanding the choice it came up with afterwards.
Ghost busters, Ocean 8, the next James Bond film are just nothing but penis envy tickboxes- ie female lead(s) and/or black.
Like the awards with no black leads in it a few years ago. So? It’s because the films they were in or directed were crap!
Marvel's Black Panther was absolute average, no special powers and a rubbish story line.
Wonder Woman 1984 with Gal Gadot, pure utter bore fest. Directed of course by a woman. Special powers - where?
Best woman leads, Resident Evil Milla Jovovich kick arse! Uma Thurman -Kill Bill, Linda Hamilton - Terminator. Easily the best off the top of my head

the oldies are better, better stories, better movies and female leads that don't need dumbed down men to make women look better.

Alien Franchise, Underworld Franchise, Tomb Raider Franchise....all female leads, all good movies, but now-a-days, they tend to focus on ticking boxes than making a good product....oh well.

Correct in everything you say. It’s funny, but looking back growing up through the 70s and 80s no one really ever questioned women in films. Look at some women in the bond films, or Alien - as you said- with sigourney weaver. She was pure kick ass! It’s eve since the “me too” movement that actually dumbed women down, rather than talk them up
