There were tons of AI hype in the earlier years, by now we know it's all faux, there is no AI, only analytics and pre-determined actions. With that, take all of these new technologies with a large pinch of salt. In fact, take only the salt.
Regarding Metaverse in specific: why would these CEOs think we don't realize it's just a re-branded VR/AR experience that nobody really wants? Do they really think there are only idiots out there who would buy in just because they all said the same thing under a different name?
Pffft.
