No, Intel does not get competitive.
A few watts difference between P and E cores??? WTF do you have E cores then?
Just make CPUs with P and E cores and don't bother mixing them.
It's just confusing as fuck.
Seems to me you are in an identity crisis.
We expected better, you failed (I knew you would, you can check my messages since a year back).

So far I have a pretty bad experience with AMD. Last 12 months I built ~30 rigs and nearly 30% has faulty CPUs (Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5), even then the other rigs still working quite differently than Intel computers (common office use). Like PDFs randomly freezing time to time etc. Intel is behind AMD but still offers better stability. |

Well, what is the point of ryzen 5950X when ryzen 5800x does the same job? Or Intel 9900, 10900, 11900, when xx700 does the same job?
If they sell, they have their point...
Some people like to have the latest and best in class.
Others are content with, say, ryzen 1700x or intel i7 6700. In reality, there is no difference in jerking around performance anyway.
Last thing to speed up your PC, no matter what, was replacing HDD with SSD. CPU will never do that.
edit: for professional use, these are all toys. Xeons, Epycs, Threadrippers is what they use. |
