The kid obviously has bigger issues; videogames had nothing to do with this incident. He could have been doing anything when the baby drove him to violence. It just happened that he was playing a game.
Not that such logic will stop the press from descending on it like a school of pirahnas, of course. |

Its the same old story, what happened with manhunt. You are right apathy, the kid does have some serious issues. But atleast he owned up and said that he had done something awful. But still violence among these stupid kids is not because of video games its just one way for them to vent it out.
Game or no game its just the individuals behaviour. Also a lot of times negligence on tha part of the parents is an issue. |

Jeez, and there was me thinking these kind of stories were getting old.
Most bad parents would easily put the blame to a 'game' if their child started exhibiting strange behaviour, they need to take into account the child's mentality before jumping to such conclusions.
Kids these days are more frightened of what comes on the news than playing a bloody console game. . GAMES and TV are just two outlets nowadays for stress-relief and enjoyment as well, these kind of activities are more preventative than realistically influencial in-terms of wanting to stab someone  |

Hardly can be called 'stress relief' when the lad lost a 'game life,' whilst playing 'The incredibles', made him lose the plot and stab the baby!
You *don't* stab someone when you lose a life in a game, he *blamed* the baby for it -because of it's crying.
Anger management classes are the order of the day for a lot of youngsters/parents these days.
The amount of violence exhibited to fellow pupils or the elderly is unheard of.
Parents have lost the control over their off-spring, no communication skills and no responsibilities as parents and lack of respect. These are the biggest issues today, i say bring back national service. |
