Psyonix has announced that Rocket League will go free to play later this Summer. Moreover, the team has announced that the game will come out on Epic Games Store, and that it will no longer be available on Steam.

Now the good news here is that those that already own the game on Steam will be able to play with everyo

I wonder what drove them away from Steam - that's where they became successful.
Why show the finger now?
Especially if they game remains playable on Steam - they'll have to support it anyway.

Sounds like the Steam version is the better deal.
