Are video games worth it?
It all depends on lots of things.
Xbox One and PS4. Sometimes.
Switch, no.

Explanation.
Switch is very overpriced that's why they are not worth it. I say put every game you want in your wish list and wait till its on sale, sometimes its only 1 week after release, sometimes its 6 months, sometimes its preorder sale only.
AND Switch games are sometimes on Xbox and PS4 but they are graphicly inferior. In other words they look crap on the Switch. The Outer Worlds looks pathetic, Ark the same. 2 games I did own but returned due to the pathetic graphics.
I was surprised with The Outer Worlds as Journey to the savage planet looks great on Switch and sort of looks similar in graphics but TOW is just such a poor port its way not worth it. Go get JTTSP, thats just a fun game.

Xbox One has a lot of great sales. I just saves $120AUD on the Far Cry 5 + New Dawn bundle. How can you not want that for that saving.
PS4, The Last of Us 2, DON'T GET IT unless you like dykes and gays as thats all its full of. Its PC gone stupid. I say stick to the very cheap by now TLOU1 as that's a great game, great story and not ruined by PC and gays.

All 3 consoles have sales in their stores. The local game stores also have even better sales but the game stores are hardware games (discs or cards) where online is digital only. OR checkout online stores, amazon sucks (that's my opinion so shut up) but they do have some good sales sometimes. (their postage is just stupid. a $5 item has $40 postage. THe size of a coin... Well, it was a coin)

So are games worth it? Depends on the game and the price. 90% of Switch games are way overpriced and just 80's remakes. I played games in the 80s and not interested in playing them again especially for $30 where I wont pay over $2 for most of them. Go to a 2nd hand shop and get the console and the games for $20.

In the end, are they worth it? On sale yes. Full price no.
I didn't even get into the pricing of DLC. (used to be a thank you for buying their game and was made after release. These days its half the story cut out so you are forced to buy it if you want the full story) No longer are games $100, they are now $150+ RIP OFF. Especially that you idiots are still buying it so they keep doing it. STOP buying DLC then they will be forced to drop the prices and keep the story intact.
