Low resolution for a monitor that wide. Straight up weird, even. Sounds like it would be stretched.

LG makes ultrawides that have 3840x1600 or 3440x1440, this only has 2560?

Gamers can also benefit from Wide Quad-High Definition (WQHD; 2,560×1,440 resolution), 16:9 aspect ratio

If those specs are true, then this is not a benefit to the player, but a drawback: massively stretched picture.

I have 2560x1200 pixels on my 30inch Dell.
This should be more like 7680x1440 or so to feel a "benefit".

Why don’t you just wrap it round your head for wide vision, like the guy in the vid. Or just buy a VR set.

G7 is the low-end. The G9 has 5120×1440.

Even that sounds like low-end.

G7 is not ultrawide it's standard 16:9, curvature is there just to make it worse.
G9 is ultrawide
5120x1440 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and both FreeSync 2 and G-Sync compatibility

That's 27" but streched and curved. 1440p is fine for that "vertical" size. PPI is good. And before "it's not good enough for you" tell me, do you have 3080Ti? because even 2080Ti will have trouble pushing 60fps on it in recent games. And you would like more PPI? Sureee.....ultra wide 4K? Wait until they invent and then make a $2000 GPU that you cannot afford or bitch about how expensive it is, before you buy such a monitor.

>>talking about G9, G7 is DOA.

It's low end until you see your even "lower end" hardware struggling to produce 20 fps in whatever you are playing atm. Just see it as pushing a bit over 4K, at XY fps @ XYZ refresh monitor. Then think about it being able to display 240 fps, and you calling it low end.
It's just silly.

When you sport such a video card, you will be playing on a stack of UDH monitors, not some curved crap like these sammies.

I honestly think that's an individual thing. To me, having an ultra wide monitor that is curved is better than stacking regular monitors next to each other. In past you didn't have the choice, now you do.
Personally I don't care for it.
