The chaps over at
Bit-tech.net informed us they have posted
the first benchmarks of the hotly anticipated title Serious Sam 2. They ran a flyby demo on a 7800 GTX SLI rig, and came up with some awesome frame rates. They also have some details about the graphics engine in the game and its use of HDR lighting

| Perhaps a better conclusion would be that the new engine is a high performer. After all, unless they had of compared other graphics hardware then they have no basis for claiming that the 7800 alone was responsible for the performance observed. |

..or it could be that the engine hasn't all those features everyone is talking about, or maybe the level design is very clever..
We'll see, probably in 2 months time as i have "allmost" first hand info that the game will very likely to be completely done by the end of next month. When will it get published, i don't know, but this first info is true. |

I remember hardware requirements for games when SS FirstEncounter came out. SS needed just the same hardware while offering awesome-looking scenes with dozens of enemies. So Imer, one thing you could probably be correct about is the clever level design. If it is, it's for the best  |
