Codemasters has released some new screenshots of
Heroes of the Pacific, the upcoming WWII action flying game for PC, PS2 and Xbox. The game is slated for release in September 2005.

As a general rule of thumb, I avoid console ports to the PC. Console control schemes and the sloppiness of response give me headaches. But this one looks rather delicious; if the gameplay is decent, I might actually give it a go, and just put up with the inevitable simplifications that console-trash mouth-breathers enjoy in their gaming experience. The only other game that has ever prompted me to do this, however, was KotoR, so they'd better have their shit togther.
