well it's their own fault (captain obvious here! ) for trying to..I don't know, live off of rebrands?! people that bought 7970 or even 7950 had basically no reason to buy anything else. I am talking about 1080p gaming, which is the most popular and most spread resolution. And 3-4 years after 7970 they put out yet another 7970 in the form of r9 380x or whatever, who cares, 285, 380, 370...all old cards rebranded and got newer version of GCN. Wooow...Maybe if they didn't overprice the damn Fury line someone would care? No? Oh well...
Personally I think of myself as an AMD peasant. I can't afford nVidia so i use AMD. |

The reason you don't have to upgrade are the consoles.
And BTW my 7870 (which I bought second hand!) works just fine medium to high settings! Though my monitor is only 1680x1050. |

| I paid less than $200 for my 960GTX. Still works marvelously. I don't have an ego to satisfy. I buy what will drive the games, nothing more. But not AMD/ATI, never. They suck. |
