Everyone - i.e. any given internet-connected endpoint - is attacked at least 300 times over a 24 hour period.

Sure they are. No just everyone hates Sony. Everyone knows Sony has crap security. #1 reason I'll never touch their garbage. #2 it's a crap console with crap infrastructure.
