I was not going to buy it, so fine with me.
I have to say that it's the lamest excuse though. We all know that it's not about the controller.

"We all know that it's not about the controller."

its not?

the controller looks like crap, and I haven't heard anything positive about it.. but its probably more along the lines of not JUST about the controller.

valve need some GAMES to sell that shit, something along the lines of hl3 coupon might do it, but eh fuck valve.

No, it's not.
The controller is going to suck, no matter what.
It's just being used as an excuse because they have either performance or overheating issues, depending on what they want to opt for - you can't win in both areas when you have small brick like that.
I could give them a solution, but a) I don't care, b) I am not on their payroll and c) I am fed up with writing patents for now.

There is no solution for that console at this point.

They want a freebee cache grab. Someone was like "hey, consoles sell, let;s make one!" Sure, sure, but, where are your developers? Oh that's right, they are now CEOs of their own company that sells games other people make...for Windows. Not for Linux. Bummer. "What shall our freebee Linux based console run then?" A: mp3, h264, yea, mainly porn and music. "Why would people buy it then?!" A: They wouldn't. Quit it.
