A post on NeoGAF shows system specifications for the PC edition of Watch Dogs purportedly posted by Ubisoft before being removed. The point of interest here is word that the game will only support 64-bit operating systems, a first for a AAA game. The same 64-bit requirement was listed for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Fla

| Yikes. My gaming box is soooo out of date. I really need to quit dragging my feet and build a new one. It's not the actual construction that I dread, I just hate doing all the research. Maybe I'll be lazy this time and just use a build from Tom's or Max PC or something. |

8 core.... In yer dreams. 99% time it's doing nothing! but for one or two (future) games. Compare a 3930k to a 2500k or 3570k in today's single/ dual core gaming and there's nothing between them, other than about £400!
Sorry, but that's how you push people to next gen consoles. I could buy 2 PS4s for one I7 3930k. Let's face it, out of all titles you buy in a year, only a couple or three stand out as value. Now if watchdogs turns out a turd, it's great thinking you've shelled out for something that will sit in your system depreciating faster than the titanic and be hardly ever used- properly- for the next year... Now if there was a whole catalogue of multi 6 core/ hyper threading , 64bit titles already the standard? Then it would be different, but there isn't. We're barely out of 1080p and still patching RTW2 to get it running on 32/64 bit systems.... The PC is still trying to run before it can walk...
Serious risky gamble, both for the consumer and the devs.
Next you'll need win8 and DX11.1..... Watch how quickly people change their tune?
If this was GTAV , on PC .......... |

Ubisoft has released the revised system requirements for the PC version of Watch Dogs – and they appear to be even more demanding than those alleged to have been released last week.
The new system requirements, posted on Ubisoft's Uplay website, require that PC players have a minimum 6GB RAM and Quad Q8400 processor, up from the 4GB RAM and Quad Q6600 posted previously.
The specs also appear to contradict comments from the game's technical director last week, who claimed that last week’s requirements were "not official configurations" and that the "real specs… will be lower".
To get the most out of the game, though, you'll need an Intel i7 processor, 8GB RAM and 2GB DirectX 11 graphics card. And don't even think about picking it up on PC if you're still running 32-bit Windows XP: you'll need a 64-bit version of Windows Vista SP2 or later to even get the game to boot.
MINIMUM
Supported OS: Windows Vista SP2 64bit, Windows 7 SP1 64bit, Windows 8 64bit
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66Ghz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0Ghz
RAM: 6 GB
Video Card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 with Shader Model 5.0 (see supported list)
Sound Card: DirectX 9 compatible Sound Card
This product supports 64-bit operating systems ONLY
RECOMMENDED
Processor: Core i7 3770 @ 3.5Ghz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0Ghz
RAM: 8 GB
Video Card: 2048 VRAM DirectX 11 with Shader Model 5.0 or higher (see supported list)
Sound Card: Surround Sound 5.1 capable sound card
Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:
nVidia GeForce GTX460 or better, GT500, GT600, GT700 series;
AMD Radeon HD5850 or better, HD6000, HD7000, R7 and R9 series
Intel® Iris™ Pro HD 5200
Watch Dogs launches on PC alongside the current-gen and Xbox One versions on November 22. A PlayStation 4 version is due to follow on November 29.
