If this is truly HD textures and models, then this is worth keeping an eye on. One of the best games that still stands the time is The Jupiter Incident. Graphics-wise and gameplay, it's superb. |

One of the news I was waiting for, for a long-long time.
I hope it does not imply changes in the gameplay - except perhaps the Cataclysm controls could be ported back to the vanilla HW - because that means that it might end up as a royal screw-up...
Made my day with these news, looking forwand to it! |

Two of the four franchises under which they've developed games were original to Gearbox, Wolverine, so I've no idea what you're babbling about. The Half-Life expansions were pretty good, Brothers in Arms was okay, and Borderlands is a stellar example of how to make a fun and engrossing game. Duke Nukem wasn't stellar, but they at least managed to get a game out the door in less than two years. The previous devs had been "working" on it for 12 years and done jack squat.
Of all the companies who could have acquired the IP, Gearbox is far from the worst choice. At least they care about it. |

Nice, but I have to say I like the current music - it adds a lot to the immersion into "the unknown".
I'd be nice to be able to play custom playlists (or even stream music) via M3U files. |

Remember, that is the song that is at the end of homeworld, when you finish it, it plays through the credits, that i remember? its contained on the game disc and if you browse the disc, he said quickly inserting old Homeworld lol, you can see the "Yes" folder and lyrics, pics.
I loved the original music also and the commentary. Also, It's not the type of game that I personally would like my own music in. It flows just perfectly. Now if I was playing GTA3, then I did have my own music.
I could just imagine a moment in new Homeworld, a loss of an escape pod for eg. And Back in Black, AC/DC, kicks in.... Ruined. Plus I listen to my own music on my personal MP3 player going to work every day. I prefer the "newness" of game music, Zimmerman style. |
