AMDZone take a quick look at the new Half-Life 2 multiplayer, and throw in some benchmarks just for fun from their own custom demo. Here's a slice:

DM_Lockdown was not quite as intensive, but again all the frame rates are stuck at just under 52. This is a bit more playable than Overwatch, but not by a lot.

ya netcode needs some serious tweaking but overall the lag etc doesn't turn me off of playing. DM now is just so much fun my CS days are almost numbered, lol. Things like the sound stutters etc have to be fixed and were identified in the CS Beta. Once this game undergoes a few patches, omg, it's going to be even more insanely fun.

Hey XXXX how ya doing! Very Happy

Got to tell you something regarding the 'sound stutter' prob.

I was nearly finished HL2 and decided to buy some good quality extra RAM (Xmas and all) -i had the sound stutter and occasional choppy frame-rate as per the rest. So i bought 1Gig of PC3200 CAS 2,2,2,6 from Crucial 2x512mb and guess what? The stutter is completely GONE, so is any form of HDD access and i can play with absolutely FULL everything inc X6AA X16AF.

Previous to buying RAM i had 2X256mb PC2700 high quality from OCZ *but* it was only 512mb in total!
VALVE has said the stutter affects -crazily- those with 512mb or under ok and those with 2Gig or over or RAM!!!

my system has 1gb of crucial ram, perhaps my cpu is lower than yours. i've tried it today after the patch and it seems better. I have noticed the same problem in Vampire as well, so I imagine it's specific to the engine. i am running it 4xAA and 8xAF. [edited this post to save people from offtopic conversation.]
