Seems like a Windows release. Nothing really new, just a few additions so people can pay for it all over again.
So, I guess it means we will get a collection every n years? Great.

Hard to say. FAQ says:

The 17 titles have been updated to work for Windows 7 and Windows Vista. In addition, since they are now playable via Origin, you will be able to utilize many of the Origin features such as cloud saves.


As far as I know EA's Origin requires Windows XP SP2 at least. So it should work on all Windows including Windows XP SP2.

I played all those games on Windows XP; I mean the old ones from the "Decade" package.

Playable via Origin or requires Origin?
If the latter, it's discouraging.
