Looks like the PlayStation Vita will need to be charged after about 3-5 hours of gameplay.
The release estimates approximate gaming time on Vita to be between 3 and 5 hours; watching videos will get you about 5 hours; and listening to music in standby mode will go for about 9 hours. It\'s important to note these fig

well that makes sense since you probably have a larger battery due to blackberry playbook being larger device and on top of that specs are weaker on blackberry although base hardware is similar PS Vita uses quad core ARM A9 and a 4 core SGX543MP4+ GPU. 3-5hrs doesn't sound THAT bad really, although something more precise would be better. 3-5hrs is sort of lame. Is it 3 or 5? It's a BIG difference. |

This should give you an idea about the size of the battery in the Playbook:

I agree, 3 hours is too short. 5 is much better. |

cant compare the 2 devices.
but don't forget all the tec in the vita, there's alot going on with that device.
what the 3ds and the vita need is a new energy source, lithium ion batters arnt cutting it anymore. |

well actually you can, it runs similar hardware, Vita is one generation ahead with quad core instead of BB's dual core and has a slightly better GPU, but on the other hand it has a smaller screen therefore it should use less power for that, but anyway, it seems that the battery could be better. Personally, I don't care. That thing is meant for children while something like BB tablet, or any other can be used for wide variety of stuff. |

That's a good differentiator.
Plus, Playbooks are secure - in fact, Playbook is the only tablet certified by the government thus far. |
