"a unique and brutal sci-fi first-person shooter experience"
syndicate was a unique top-down strategic team shooter set in far future where you led a team of cyborgs or, well, augmented humans into missions around the globe.
I wish they were making THAT kind of game instead of yet another generic "press X to win" FPS.

| Bah. Just release Syndicate on GOG and I'll be happy. You can keep your crappy FPS "re-imagining." |

I have it and it runs on DOSBox. Unfortunately it is very choppy with all details maxed out (even on a modern PC). So, I would not mind seeing some optimizations in the graphic system before releasing on GOG.
If they can keep the original game and replace only the graphic system, I am ok with the remake. However, nowadays remakes mean adding a bunch of useless crap as well (which, ultimately renders the remake unworthy and disappointing). |

there is a conversion of syndicate wars that does not require dosbox, it runs from windows. Ran just fine for me a while back when I played it. You should try it, there is a link to it in the video I posted earlier. Well, not in video, in comments actually.
Csimbi: this remake is FPS O.o I would hardly call it a remake at all. It's a whole new game with a whole new concept. |
