wow this sounds serious.. well dunno anything about hacking anyway but if these hackers does seek a way to liberalize things without altering consumers playtimes they gotta aim to 'control', the control that sony and sony online tries to maintain over their products and their policy, mmm got no actual idea of what sony does my only experience is with sony online (see star wars galaxies disaster..). basically I'm making an example with something I know a MMO structure. the way to damage a company is not crash their servers.. players gets angry and nothing is done but manage to get in the database of the payments and add gametime to dunno 1-2 milions of people. aka less ravenue for the company alot of mess to set things right again, since they do not know who been added legally or not, and finally millions of happyer costumers  or if you want to piss them off log in as gm and distribute gifts.. or make a pre-combat 'upgrade' server for SWG pleaase XD
anyway in all this like in most of human things the key is CONTROL, you strip them of their control you defeat them. |

Hm, nice ideas, but they also affect customers in serious ways, don't they?
The first attack is to get the attention and perhaps make a step forward to the goal. But as always the first battle never predict the end of the war (in this case Anon vs. Sony). So in my little opinion hitting people personally like HBGary is the best strategy. This will minimize effects to customers. |
