It takes a 43-minute video conference to tell people Portal 2 has gone Gold?

Chances are that I will be getting it, yeah.

The only reason not to, is if it would have lost Valve's known code smoothness or having been immensely consolized.

From the videos I've seen so far, it looks absolutely solid. Let's hope it stays that way.

Maybe if it sells well, Valve will get off their fat ass and start making Episode 3 or HL3, whatever.

Hm, personally i dont see any point of making HL 3. Ep 3 ok, but a new game... no need really, just for the sake of ... well, a new game.
The story wont be any interesting, the gameplay either, not to mention the visuals.

Gabe says Portal 2 is done 6 mins in by the way, not exactly making people wait...

I'd like a HL:EP3 and a HL3, that's what they said they were going to do when they release EP1. Although, they also said the episodes would come out in quick succession, be small, saving the 'full' game experience for HL3.

We'll be lucky if they even do an EP3 at this point. They must have run out of ideas for Gordon.
