According to BBC, the 17-year-old
was arrested in the Beswick area of Manchester by the Metropolitan
Police\'s central e-crime unit earlier. It followed a \'denial of
service\' attack, which saw large numbers of people unable to play the
game online. Games company Activision contacted police in September

How is DoS illegal? You send packets over internet to a server. You do that all the time. DoS happens when you send amount of packets that server can't handle. So, a crappy server and crappy flood protection are fault of a person sending many packets?! :/ (yes, I do realize the consequences and that DoS was intentional. I also realize that some people get payed by companies to the same thing to test servers and then it's not illegal.)
You can't do DoS attacks to a proper server with a proper protection and setup. You can try, but IP range is going to be blocked resulting in counter-DoS. |

reading and listening to anything coming out the BBC (British Broadcasting Crap) is like getting your news from a cretinously insipid little retard organization of war/law propagandizing psychological warfare parasites who constantly promote the police state retardation, and instill fear its in gullible sheeple like dumb fuck audience etc.
Zero facts on this story(large numbers of people? what 2,3,5,7? ..."score more points while stopping other people playing the game." that doesn't even make sense) , basically dumb scum officers ie private police working on behalf on corporations and banks yet funded by tax payers, have descended on a teenager (legally thieving all their computer equipment no doubt, because of some petty tool) its a pathetic waste of money funding these parasites. If you were to work out the amount of money wasted on these counter productive shit heads ie (courts/lawyers, judges, and the police parasites) all of which will get paid for this, meanwhile a slight disruption to a FUCKING pathetic game, which quite frankly kids shouldn't be playing, why the fuck should anyone with any fucking brain and moral conscience give a shit about crApdivisions reputation? its a fucking war game, if its been interrupted (by something that easy to do because of useless server protection) play something else, before you do become some degenerated retard who supports more of this cretinous NWO direction of uber social retardation.
stupid corrupt police state society gone fucking insane funding and supporting this illegal and unlawful crap.
This is just the dumb scum officers trying to justify their pathetically cretinous jobs.

I think it's just one corporation petting the other and so on. It's marketing, extortion, intimidation of public and so on. They try not to make it obvious but mistakes like "selling software that can do DoS attacks to score more points" is what really gives away their stupidity. If you DoS the server, you can't play either. Only thing you can do is get fraged, pissed of and then spoil it for others (it's retarded but that's the way it is with 17 y.o. kids).
and again, it's the server protection fault. It's rigged to work for the lowest possible expense to cash in as much as possible. Now it requires more funds for protection and let's take a revenge on that 17 y.o. kid who DoS-ed us and made us pay more money to make the server proper...I bet they are going to sue the kid's family for expenses which they will never pay since they cannot afford it.
btw. BBC, CNN...no difference really. There are worse networks then those. Maybe of topic but here in Serbia, before the NATO bombing started, news at 20h mentioned nothing about it while most us new what is going to happen at 21h....lives were lost just because of that. Sorry for off there...just mentioning that BBC/CNN is not the worst that can happen... |

"I bet they are going to sue the kid's family for expenses which they will never pay since they cannot afford it. "
They'll make money before that even happens, legal defense costs, the whole system of these lawless parasites benefit.
Police/ Corrupt corporate injustice scum system/media will all benefit from pushing this.
Yes it is just an extortion racket to funding corrupt Gov State scumbaggery and its further open police state prison society, pretty sure people will be in fear to critically think soon enough, most already seem so dosy they can't actually take a look at the bigger picture of what is happening. Roll on thought crimes, its only way people will wake up into a totalitarian world they've been sold by the lamestream media hacks not providing the entire story of what is going on and just doing what they do best hyping up meanigless shit and selling FEAR to the stupid.. meanwhile big businesses with ties to the establishment get nice tax evasion schemes and total private police protection.. the police are idiots, the further up you go the more insidious the fucktards are, their jurisdiction is catching the small guy, so the injustice system can abuse all its legal crap they've had created and pushed through by legislates and spineless political parasites on behalf of the banks ultimately and special interest groups sponging off government, to make money and criminalize more people with. Like a mafia racket, they'll turn a blind eye to their own government, bank, agency crimes and lies which cost the country billions while a small minority benefit greatly.
Its totally hypocritical, just like the legal(unlawful) law acts.. those in the establishment and above/involved in the law are all 'legally protected', heck even corporations are given more rights than individuals these days. "I think it's just one corporation petting the other and so on. It's marketing, extortion, intimidation of public and so on. "
So I don't even give a crap about the dos attacks, its pathetic to have these e-shit heads units, they are a waste of tax money doing counter productive jobs that don't do shit to make society better just a parasitic cancer feeding off society with the help of the lamestream media scumbags shilling and promoting these solutions and crime prevention (leading onto THOUGHT CRIMES!) the governments next big criminalization scam to make money funding its disgusting lying self and those lying criminal who have a stake in its objectives. While deceiving the gullible idiots who have had the wool pulled over their sheeple like eyes into naively support this insipid idiocy because they are too in fear and ignorant to seek out what is really going on and who is really benefiting.. NOT YOU.
"BBC/CNN is not the worst that can happen"
well they ain't good, unless its selling bullshit and propaganda, but then a lot of the controlled lamestream TV and rag media is good at that. |

what I meant when I said cnn/bbc is not the worst that can happen is that if things continue to go this way, in ten years, you will be found and arrested for writing posts like that. There WILL be a law against (anyone can check what Jey Rockefeller is pushing in US senate, and others like him, bankers) that in countries that are based on total capitalism. Be my guest and guess which are those... If only "Rage against the Machine" were taken more seriously back in the day...and many others before them etc. :/
I live where I live, things suck most of the time but at least I am sure we won't have that kind of crap here...not that it makes me feel much better... |

Yeah, because some idiot 17 year old who screwed with other idiots ability to play a FUCKING GAME deserves to have his life ruined for it.
You are a moron.
Edit: pretty funny that it censored the first use of the word fucking and not the second. Note to self: fully capitalize the word in all future uses. Oh, and Tom, if you were being sarcastic...oops. |

If you only spend your time buggering other players with ILLEGAL practices, you have too much free time, and a year in prison can make them see how lame they are. They should lock all these scumboys up.
Perhaps then they'll spend their time with more meaningful things, like taking a shower, and cleaning the toilet after their diarrhea fests. |

Or just getting into buggering other people with more LEGAL (morally corrupt) practices and extortion rackets.
That's banks governments +afflicted parasites bodies +large corporations do it, perfectly legal scumbaggery, just make up laws that don't effect you and cast a wide criminalizing net. Anyway 1year in prison for kid who has slightly inconvenienced a game others are playing is totally on the same level. NOT.. wtf is wrong with you miserable morons who want unjust punishment serving on others. While at the same time accepting the rest of the crap or even worse supporting it. |
