An Xbox tablet with more power than the current 360? Mark Rein says it\'s the future!
(thanks CVG)
\uot;It will have more power than 360 does today, with technology
like Kinect built right in. Imagine walking into a bar with
s, propping it up on the table and playing games like Dance
Central or Kinect

", or use your phone as controller to play games like Gears of War"
lol, a good marketeer never lets a opportunity go wasted.
"you can have your productivity apps"
you what? a productive person using a mobile device? yah right, hardly.
Anyway I can accept console like games on mobile devices, the whole limited input interface of a normal console makes more sense on a mobile device. So 3d gaming devices like that, which can pull off the gfx quality of a modern console, well it makes more sense, but console gaming in the living room on a crap restricted platform/marketplace...
nah ...PC with far more customization possibilities etc with keyboard/mouse anyday over that. |

" Imagine walking into a bar with some friends, propping it up on the table and playing games like Dance Central or Kinect Adventures"
I would hope that my friends kill me on the spot. If not them, then someone else from the bar since a person like me does not deserve to live. |

Ffs! Every muppet out there, from Bill Gate$ to Steve Job$ has said "imagine using our...........to control your house, to fly to work, stream games while you're having a $hit etc,etc....blah blah"
Koogle, what planet you on??
Every daft $hit out there (american thing) uses an M$ XBox game pad to play just about everything on their PC!!! It's been around for years.
Me, it's mouse/keyboard for PC gaming -except for flight sims and my game pad for my PS3.
Could never get my head around why americans sooo want to use an XBox pad on a PC...?
The PC certainly ain some exclusive UNTOUCHED club lol

| well, you can use it (or any other gamepad) to play games that are better played with gamepad. I guess if people own xbox360 it's logical to use existing gamepad rather than buying a new one. I don't have 360 but I have logitech rumblepad and I use it to play games like DMC, NFS and such. Ofc I am going to use kb+mouse for gears of war and games that require aiming and/or tight reflexes. |

my point is that koogle implies that a PC (game) is played using mouse/keyboard (or joystick) and nothing else! He thinks that because a PC has 104 keys inc mouse it's superior. Where as in truth, you barely use about 8 or so inc AWSD used for movement and the mouse wheel used for changing weapons
A gamepad -whether it's XBox,logitech, saitek etc. is a console descendant in its truth. Forget Atari on TV lol A gamepad defined today is there to make gaming easier instead of a HUGE keyboard that barely gets touched |

Ya but then you are trying to reason with a lame brain. Why waste your time? The guy still games on a 4x3 CRT for hell sake! If he games at all!! I think he's just all mouth and not much more.
I agree, though, I'd never take the thing to a bar. LOL!!! Like Koogle, you'd be a laughing stock..
Stumpus.. don't try to sound or act like you know Americans, Daft $hit? I don't know one american who'd ever say Daft for one thing. I can think of a lot of things we do say.. but you get that in a lot of my posts as it is... |

if analog controls are not necessary, I find it way easier to control something with keys and 3-4 fingers at the same time instead of using one thumb to rotate and other to move, and then if control is not on a trigger button, you have to move one thumb away from your most basic control to be able to press a button. Besides, HUGE keyboard has other uses than just gaming, even while you are gaming. (for instance, change a song, volume, whatever) You can also bind keys around WSAD so they are readily available, for instance your favorite weapons can be just an inch away. Depends on the game really. I still do prefer to drive on gamepad (I don't posses a wheel) since I use one thumb to move left-wright, and other thumb to accelerate/brake, trigers can be used for behind view or stuff like handbrake etc. It's easy to get used to and it's not so strange as opposed to playing something like bioshock (you can bind plasmids on keys around WSAD and it's a completely different game experience since you get to use much more, much faster) |

"my point is that koogle implies that a PC (game) is played using mouse/keyboard (or joystick) and nothing else! "
Your point assumes rather a lot Stumpus, fyi I have a ps3 like controller that I sometimes use (though rarely) for certain games. 2 analogue sticks, do have their uses for games like racing, oldskool, (heck I even use that controlled for flightsims(+keyboard) because I can't be bothered to get the other peripherals I'd rarely use. So a keyboard/mouse can take a back seat. You're just being really silly if you that is what you think when I put down console gaming. Please follow what I'm really getting at and why I do. Perhaps I'm not fully explaining myself in detail enough about what I try to say about certain things.
@Tom please shut the fuck up you stupid bitter moron! And don't make me laugh about your lame brain reasoning (this forum has plenty of your posts for me to fucking rip apart and make a fool out of you with). You are a little shit head who likes to jump into making comments when I'm just taking the piss out of something while you try to act all superior.
Anyway good to see you picked up on my last point to you about CRT's not being square lol (and yes I do use that for playing fps games on, sorry 100hz/100fps gaming input lag free is just the better way to enjoy those games).. so well fucking done idiot, you're learning something. |
