What now? Pathetic boring games? Are we talking about the same developer here?

Was HL2 pathetic and boring? Dude they reinvented FPS games. Novel ideas like Portal was pathetic and boring? Multiplayer gems, like TF, CS, L4D are pathetinc and boring?

"Novel ideas like Portal was pathetic and boring"

you give them way too much credit.

Portal wasn't exactly Valve's idea, they just saw the innovation in a game developed by students at DigiPen and hired most team behind it to work on putting those portal concepts into Valves own game.

Infact even the lead developer(not the original developer though!) behind the Warcraft3 MOD DotA is working with Valve on what I wouldn't be surprised is a game loosely based around DotA, especially considering Valve trademarked the title, even though the original guy who invented it isn't credited with jackshit. Rolling Eyes

Team Fortress = hl mod

Counter Strike = hl mod

Day of Defeat = hl mod

It would seem only Left 4 Dead and TF2 have been developed with some original ideas from Valve (which tbh isn't exactly hard with the money they made to hire more talent from the sales hl/hl2/ ep1 etc, though the hl/2 zombie/vampire mods that already existed probably did inspire them and show a market for it.

And they only got away with pulling off that steaming pile of crap client called steam, that has turned them into the monopoly gate keepers of that market area it runs now. All because of the popularity of free multiplayer MODS for the HL engine allowed them to force it on users with the release HL2.

Which don't get me wrong is a good game, but yes they really do need to bring out something fresh or at least a vast improvement on the engine with game like hl3.

Also in the works is support for biometrics. Valve has reportedly spent $50,000 on gaze-tracking technology to understand where game testers are looking during play. The company is also hooking up testers to biometric devices to not only track pulse rates, emotional reactions and more, but to give them a little jolt.

Sounds all a bit insidious really, especially with Portals science background ethics out the window. Why don't they just get better play tester who can actually report what they think about the game /map design etc instead of noob monkeys.. such as the noobs Microsuck must have pulled off the streets to test out shitty vis7a.

Q. Is it dumbed down enough for you to understand?

Q. We've removed lots features and simplified shit, and done fuck all to improve anything, can you understand it or is still too confusing?

Q. How do you feel about the pricing structure, we thought we would exercise our corporate monopoly to convince and force users to upgrade to this shit and pay more for it by removing XP, good innit Smile

Bahhh I doubt EP3 and I doubt the surprise will be anything I care about. Just cheap marketing. Then they will announce games you wont see until 2013 or 2014 when the world has already ended.. Who cares! Razz

The world ends maybe for all dead beat drones who support the system and all its deceiving degenerative low life corruption who get away with what they do through lies people are lead to believe by its mainstream media.

System Failure is inevitable unless people on mass stay blind and in denial to all the lies they've built their reality and life around believing supporting such irrational and ill-conceived bullshit and laws of a system built by and for scumbags to control and manage societies and economies on a global scale through force and threats.

By these megalomaniac control freaking war mongering and discriminatory lowlife who like all psychopaths work hard to go for jobs in sectors that seems to give them authority and deserved respect over others, from pseudo-science law bullshit for the corrupt parasitic legal system, physiologists and other science areas to reinforce the establishments social control orders, quacks, spineless deceiving politicians, police, military etc.. every one of these deadbeats who do what they do by the orders of others unthinkingly and unquestioning because its just a job, will soon find that job has a nasty price to pay for their complicit corruption.

They are all being exposed daily in every area if you truly seek it, ain't going to see it on your TV box, the world doesn't end, this system its been based around for too long will though, because information is spreading faster than it ever has done before. They just can't control this shit fast enough unless they get even more control over the internet (which they are doing through peoples ignorance as it always is done), the most they can do is distract people divide and conquer/ hijack and control opposition to come out with more of their own deceptive lies to form peoples opinions for them without them really even objectively thinking about what they are being told, so that it gets them to carry on supporting this corruption( by doing fuck all about it ) and its totalitarian system of tyranny.
