So no
*Fixed an issue where even the stupidest level with 50 enemies on the level, can bring even an i7 at its knees, while Supreme Commander 2 runs smoothly with 600 units on the level, even on a Core i3 laptop?

This was not a game that took advantage of new tech, even if Blizzard was to say it was. I agree, there are some maps where there is an inexplicable lag. I had that in the beta too and I told them it didn't make sense then either. Shoddy code.. what else. The movies are decent though, even if they lag at some points too.

Starcraft 2 is designed for fast games, sadly.

if you do have that many units, you are doing it wrong, you just rush, thats what all the players do, build the first unit possible and just spam it.

Sadly, thats what RTS games have turn into....rushfests.

Ya I like to build and take my time. When I play with friends that's how it is, with Battlenet in the middle it sucks and takes longer to get a game going. On C&C I play with a group of friends, quickly and without the lame rush tactics. You miss half the game when you do that. My opinion.

Don't forget games like Empire Total War or the Total War series in general where you have thousands of units on the battlefield Smile. Supreme Commander 2 was pretty good MP wise but they need to beef up the single player. If I'm buying a game mainly for MP then I don't expect to pay full retail and the price should be around twenty bucks.
