What the fuck?
Why does it say GTX 480 or GTX 470 in the optimum system requirements for DX11? Why do they mention cards that are not yet released while it spits in the face of ATI?
God these guys sure have some nerve! Its like saying, look, the game is optimised for Nvidia and the rest of you can go fuck yourselves!
Well, FUCK YOU back THQ! |

Wow I can play Mass Effect 2 in ultra high quality with my GTX 260 + Win Xp but I need a futuristic video card for Metro 2033 + DX 11...
I wonder if there is still someone who really trust the "System Requirements" for games. |

Wow, those are some hardcore specs. 8gb+ ram? Wtf batman?
If this game is also coming out on xb360, then how can a 8800gt be considered bare minimum? Are they making two completely different games for console and PC?
From the videos I have seen of this game, it really doesn't look much removed to the types of games we already know well.
This is absolutely screaming of cheap trix to make people buy new hardware. Oh yeah, nice omission of ATI equivalent cards! |

From the trailer its really hard to see how 8gb ram could be used up for that title, the level design is pretty much tunnel vision for the most part, or just bland snow/grey buildings, I think even 4gb would be plenty to run that at optimum for most, 8gb would be like for what ultra textures and high resolutions, where you'd have to shine a flashlight on and get up real close to see the difference perhaps?.
the minimum/recommended specs seem realistic enough to me.
I think the optimum spec with 2 cards that aren't even out a bit silly though. As for no ATi comparable card, well THQ have always been Nvidia I think - figures.
Anyway this game seems like Stalker I hadn't even known about it until now I wonder if it will be better than the last Stalker game, which I doubt I'll ever check out and play. |

| The GTX470 and 480 are about to be revealed next week at CEBIT (most likely), so I don't think it's a big deal to say ahead of time that a game will benefit from them - they are not far off. I looked up some more info about this game and it has PhysX support which must be the reason ATI has been ignored here. |

Slightly off topic but the newest Stalker game is actually pretty good (except for the Pripyat map which was kinda lame).
Of course I'm biased since I liked the other two once they were patched/modded up to playability. The newest one just happens to be playable out of the box.
I'll probably be trying Metro 2033 even though I am nowhere near the hardware recs...after the first wave of suckers testing it of course. |
