CIVNET - still my classic favourite, though lesser known still better than CIV1, and in many ways CIV2 tbh.

really never have been a fan of the Civ games after Civ3 gfx changes, updated sure, better because of it, meh not really. Even Civ2 though very much similar to Civ1/Civnet in gfx unit style, the UI updates were just overdone. Ruined it, and then Civ3, just started to lose the plot to me.

so hexagon now.. wow so from square board with 8 directions of movement if you include the diagonal directions(octagon), which made it nice to move units with the keyboard numpad, and that kind of playstyle and greater city fields etc...

to this simpler 6 directions of movement, how the fuck does this match into using the numpad is my bigger question, that style of navigating units is so engraved, even though the drag/drop mouse auto movement is often used later game, beginning game is often keyboard/end turn style, playing it any other way would just seem weird, ah screw it.

Maybe they should Consolization V Razz
