| It's pretty simple. When I play LAN I don't need to be online. I don't want my experience enhanced, I don't give a hoot about statistics or anything. I want to connectionless and play in my house on a LAN the way I want. They can try to build some BS campaign around what they want to do but they are the one who is going to lose when my cash doesn't go in their bank account. |

Don't care much about that statistic collecting bullshit either, its nub bait.
No LAN, And a Steam like battle.net retard client system to have to run beforehand is the uber suck.. maybe we don't have any information to go on.. but I gets the feeling the disadvantages far outweighs whatever BS reasons they are going to try and play as advantages to this method of setup. Automatic updates or no play play yay.
"But there will be no singleplayer or skirmish content, right?
Chris Sigaty: No, although we will include at least some level of AI, so that players can jump into games and play against the AI if they want to, to make sure they're at least able to experiment between matches. "
I've always liked skirmish mode.. now they're downplaying that aswel -boo
"and there are units that aren't in multiplayer at all, like Firebats, Medics, all sorts of stuff. "
I suppose they get multiplayer introductions in the expansion packs... ah screw em!
the really crap thing is that as Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty (I mean SC2 1/3) is the only decent PC RTS game on the horizon it seems. C&C 4 seems to have just lost the fucking plot altogether, and looks to becoming more like a Supreme Commander clone(and that was a boring and tedious game)... dismal really, don't want to be lining Blizzards pockets on this one... but them bastards know longtime SC fans don't really have much of choice if they want to play an updated SC that isn't running at some fucking aging 640x480 resolution. |
