How does anyone else feel about Rage? It doesn't grab me...so far. Too much like a heap of games i've already played. Naturaly Doom3 (obviously) for a start (the robot bots, zombies) It appears heavily influenced by Fallout3 in level design (as in way,way too similar) The mad max car chases/shooting is not very good with external views -Interstate '76 did it bettter for me.
Can't make my mind up unless there's a demo due out?

Oh Stumpus you do live. Did I hurt your feelings in the other thread? People are bashing Blu-ray and I am so surprised you with your huge apparent knowledge are leaving poor little me to defend it.

As for this game, looks good. What isn't a carbon copy of something else? ID didn't get swallowed up for nothing either. Their games have been mediocre to say the least. I think their most popular lately was Quake Wars which I still play on occasion. This one sounds and looks pretty good to me but I agree, I'd have to get a demo or something before I took the plunge in getting this.

I'm not an id fan, i'm a game fan. Of course everything has its worse and best and the expectation for certain developers also can change the final score of certain products.

I really, realy like the Quake series (except Quake Wars) and from time to time i go back to play the still graphically impressive and very fun Doom 3 & Resurrection of Evil.

For Rage i can see a lot of influence of other games, but for the time being, it's quite impossible to develop a "true original idea". But, i preffer a new game like Rage no mather how much look alike to other games rather than a Quake VII, Doom IX or Wolfenstein Super Return to the Mario Casttle.

I know i going to grab this one ASAP and if a demo comes out previous to the launch, even better.

PS: Sorry for my bad english.
