Blizzard senior VP Rob Pardo has confirmed that the company\'s upcoming RTS sequel StarCraft II will not feature LAN multiplayer support. The only multiplayer available will be on Battle.net.

Well Fuck you to Blizztard! -bunch of assholes
I'm not interesting in running another steaming shit platform (battle.shitenet) just to play a game.
another steaming shit platform to have to run before you can play the sodding game.. screw you blizztard!
the more I see and hear of SC2 the less interested I become. No LAN support is taking the piss now, its not a huge feature which is exactly why I expect it to be there. Why play through a crappy internet connection if the people you are gonna play against are in your own fecking house or wherever you're having a LAN party. -idiots |

I agree. These guys don't realize that many ppl can enjoy the game only at computer clubs. I am not talking about USA ,of course.
Lets just hope that LAN support is possible through a mode or some kind of a patch... |

I'm not going through some external junction to play a lan game, it's that simple! If you want Blizzard to know every time you are playing on a lan, good for you. Personally I think it's none of their business. It's like EA with their stupid racing and golfing games, forcing you to go through their servers just to play a friend. Fuck that. Lots of others are voicing their displeasure too. I don't care, if this is the route they go I wont get the game or I will get it through torrent and play single player. If they want to dictate how I will work my lan parties, tough luck for them.
I usually use Hamachi myself to play LAN games and get my friends around the world to join. This wont work the same with stupid Battlenet in the middle. |

i agree that a no go for starcraft 2 for me also.
starcraft was never one of my favorite rts games to begin with but no lan play kills it for me.
but hey star craft is so popular someone will make a mod/crack to make it lan playable so we can still enjoy the cracked version ^^ |
