I love my PSP for it's "hacking" options. And since the PS3 not only boats a Linux OS - which means x86, consequently means running to some extent, windows games, it also boats a fine lineup of games I love so these "hacking" experiences coming now will mean tons for me. Very Happy

To conclude: MOHAHAHA!

"Linux OS - which means x86"

it's not that easy... x86 is a microprocessor architecture..
and actually the only linux version i've seen running on the PS3 so far was a Fedora PPC
so no quite x86

(except if you were talking about emulation...)

Heh - I was talking about emulation, and I know I should have rephrased myself a bit better so there wouldn't be a misunderstanding.

Well, the reason I mentioned x86 at all was because of the aforementioned kernel supports the Cell processor architecture (as far as I know, it has since spring - I'm not knowledgeable if it also incorporates pre-compiled driver modules though.). Thus, if able to run the Cell, we are able to emulate the x86 platform, ergo my "muhaha" of joy. Razz On the other hand I could be wrong all together and you have to use a modified PowerPC distro with some odd-ball modules to run like you mentioned. Oh well.

We can also set x86 aside completely and begin to emulate tons of fun platforms like Atari, C64, various forms of Nintendo platforms.

It's all in the hardware interface. ^^
