Those companies went for it because ATI and nVidia had nothing to show for competition, they signed up because they could exploit another source of profit. Now that ATI and nVidia have Havok in their pocket, to me I'd have to imagine these companies will change their minds. When AGEIA is clinging for life, I'd expect one of these companies to buy out AGEIA.
What are you going to buy? An AGEIA card? or a ATI/nVidia solution with physics optimizations and acceleration for Havok? |
