| Heard lots about Gary's Mod, didn't care about it now, certainly don't give a rats ass about it still. Everyone has to make a buck, even Gary...how can you blame them? The free rides in HL2 are over man, eventually everyone will be asking you for money. Maybe people should start charging for their maps too... |

but that "it used to be free, now you're gonna pay for this" move reminds me of something similar that happened on the internet like... 5 years ago ?
i heard people from the business side saying that "free" on the internet was a "myth"... that basically those things we used to have for free (e-mail, hosting, services) would be charged, that i was a natural move, blah blah
"but you're not going to have people pay for things they had for free"
"yes, we will"
no they didn't
i still got a free e-mail account, and it's even bigger and better than what we had to pay for back then (for example) |
