Microsoft has commented on the Sony press event held last night:
This announcement certainly doesn't change any of our plans. We've blasted out of the gate with the greatest launch in the history of video games and we're keeping our eyes squarely fixed on today and on the Xbox 360 road ahead, including continuous

What a typical statement from MS......the world obviously revolves around them.
There is NOTHING sensational that has been released on XBox360 that wont be released on PC - In fact that's it's biggest problem. Untill things like editors are workable on it then it's 'paper thin', and hasn't breached new areas at all.
Without a HD TV -which isn't exactly crytical in Europe since we wont have FULL HD transmissions untill 2010! it's graphical prowess means very little on standard TV.. XBox Live is nothing more than a glorified MSN or a cellphone and it's not new by any rate.
The thing with japan is they are more inventive and certainly more clever when it comes to originality than the west. I will be keeping my eye on the PS3 for that reason.
Look at Oblivion -one of the most eagerly awaited titles this year- Editor for PC (as per usual); NONE for the NEW best-ever-console-in-the-world XBox360.
What a laugh MS |

El_Coyote, you see, why do you make out that the consoles are hadicapped and defend it so?
It's the very fact that Sony and MS will not allow you to save the game data to a HD that means you do NOT have an editor -not because of a gamepad.
Besides, isn't it ironic that you can use an XBox/PS2 controller on a PC but not a keyboard and mouse on a sonsole...........it's about Sony and MS making, and controlling, the expanse of their consoles. |
